Before you begin- Ensure you have IAM admin permissions in the AWS account.
- Sign in to the AWS Management Console and go to IAM → Account settings.
- Under Password policy, click Edit.
- Set a minimum length of 14 characters, and require uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols.
- Enable password expiration (for example, 90 days) and prevent reuse of the last 24 passwords.
- Click Save changes.
