# Vendor Executive Summary

> High-level overview of your vendor risk portfolio — scores, distribution, and trends.

The Executive Summary provides a bird's-eye view of your entire vendor risk landscape. Monitor overall health, identify high-risk vendors, and track fourth-party exposure from a single dashboard.

## Key metrics

<CardGroup cols={3}>
  <Card title="Total Vendors" icon="building">
    Number of vendors being actively monitored in your portfolio.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Average Risk Score" icon="gauge">
    The mean security rating across all vendors, scored 0–1000.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Grade Distribution" icon="chart-pie">

  </Card>
</CardGroup>

## Vendor classification

You can classify vendors by **tier** (Critical, High, Medium, Low, Untiered) and by **portfolio** (Supplier, Service Provider, or custom categories). These classifications help you prioritize which vendors need the most scrutiny.

## Lowest and highest rated vendors

The dashboard highlights your lowest-rated vendors (highest risk) and your highest-rated vendors (lowest risk), making it easy to spot where attention is needed.

## Fourth-party visibility

At the bottom, you can see **fourth parties** — the technology providers and services your vendors depend on. This gives you supply chain visibility into the tools and platforms your vendors use.

<Tip>
  Review the Executive Summary weekly. If the average risk score is trending downward, investigate which vendors are dragging it down and consider sending remediation requests.
