# Roles & Permissions

> Understand the four predefined roles and their permission levels.

DSALTA provides four predefined roles, each with different access levels across the platform.

## Permission levels

Each area of the platform can have one of three access levels:

| Level           | Description                             |
| --------------- | --------------------------------------- |
| **Full Access** | Can view and edit all data in that area |
| **View Only**   | Can see data but cannot make changes    |
| **No Access**   | Cannot see or access that area at all   |

## Role comparison
