Configure your organization's profile in DSALTA to receive tailored compliance recommendations and framework guidance. Learn what information to provide and how it impacts your compliance journey.

Why Your Profile Matters

DSALTA uses your organization profile to:

  • Recommend compliance frameworks aligned with your industry and business model

  • Scope controls based on your organization's size and complexity

  • Provide relevant policy templates and examples

  • Calculate appropriate risk levels for your environment

  • Customize audit preparation guidance

Taking time to complete your profile accurately ensures you get the most relevant and efficient compliance experience.

Accessing Organization Settings

Navigate to Settings (gear icon in the sidebar) to access your organization profile. Admin users can edit all profile information, while other roles may have view-only access depending on their permissions.

Required Information

Company Basics

Company Name: Enter your legal business name as it appears on official documents. This name will appear on compliance reports, audit packages, and your Trust Center.

Company Description: Provide a brief overview of what your company does (2-3 sentences). This helps DSALTA understand your business context when recommending controls and policies.

Primary Industr:y Select your industry from the dropdown menu. Options include:

  • Technology/SaaS

  • Healthcare

  • Financial Services

  • E-commerce/Retail

  • Professional Services

  • Manufacturing

  • Education

  • Other

Your industry selection influences which frameworks DSALTA recommends and which controls are most critical for your risk profile.

Business Model: Indicate your primary business model:

  • B2B (Business to Business)

  • B2C (Business to Consumer)

  • B2B2C (Business to Business to Consumer)

  • Internal/Enterprise

This helps DSALTA understand your customer relationships and data handling requirements.

Organization Size

Number of Employees Select your organization's size range:

  • 1-10 employees

  • 11-50 employees

  • 51-200 employees

  • 201-500 employees

  • 501-1000 employees

  • 1000+ employees

Organization size affects control scoping—smaller organizations may have simplified requirements for certain controls, while larger organizations often need more formalized processes.

Number of Contractors/Third Parties Indicate how many contractors, consultants, or third-party workers regularly access your systems. This information helps DSALTA assess your personnel security requirements.

Location Information

Primary Location/Headquarters Enter your company's headquarters location (country and state/region). This determines which data protection regulations may apply to your organization.

Additional Locations If your organization operates in multiple locations, add them here. Geographic presence impacts compliance requirements, especially for data privacy regulations like GDPR.

Data Storage Regions Indicate where you store customer data:

  • United States

  • European Union

  • United Kingdom

  • Asia-Pacific

  • Other regions

Data residency is critical for many compliance frameworks and privacy regulations.

Contact Information

Primary Compliance Contact: Designate the main point of contact for compliance matters:

  • Full name

  • Email address

  • Phone number (optional)

  • Role/title

This person receives important notifications about compliance deadlines, audit requirements, and critical test failures.

Security Contact: Provide contact information for security-related matters. This can be the same person as the compliance contact or a different team member, such as your CISO or security lead.
