Vendor Risk - Inventory

Updated over 2 months ago

Vendors

The Vendors section helps you find, track, and evaluate the security posture of each organization you work with. You can categorize vendors, compare them to industry benchmarks, and view trends over time to identify changes in their risk levels.

Adding New Vendors

  1. Navigate to the Vendors section and select + New Vendor.

  2. Click in the search bar and start typing in the URL of the vendor you want to start monitoring.

  3. Once the company's name and URL show up in the results box, click on them and proceed to the next step.

If the desired company's URL does not fetch any results, click on Create a vendor to proceed to the next step.

  4. Set a name, tier, and portfolio for the vendor you are adding. Once done, click Add Vendor to finish and let DSALTA handle the scanning now.

Fourth Parties

The Fourth Parties section identifies vendors that your vendors rely on, helping you to understand indirect risk exposure. By tracking these relationships, you can better mitigate the impact of potential data breaches or cyberattacks that occur deeper in your supply chain.

Vulnerabilities

Use the Vulnerabilities view to monitor vendor-related vulnerabilities and ensure that remediation meets your service-level agreements (SLAs).
