Fourth Parties Dashboard (Vendor-Specific)
The Fourth Parties tab within a specific vendor's profile lists all the vendors that they use. This is crucial for understanding your fourth-party risk exposure.
This dashboard helps you reduce the risk of data breaches and cyber attacks that could happen through your vendor's supply chain.
Key Features of the Fourth Parties Table:
4th Party Vendor: This column lists the third-party vendors used by your primary vendor.
Status: The status (e.g., Basic, Advanced) indicates the security maturity of the fourth-party vendor.
Score: A security score is provided for each fourth-party vendor, giving you an at-a-glance view of their security posture.
Products: This column shows the number of products or services provided by that fourth-party vendor that your primary vendor is using.
Category: The category provides context about the type of product or service (e.g., "CDN," "CMS," "Hosting Provider").
Taking Action:
The dashboard is an essential tool for due diligence. You can use it to assess the risk of your vendor's supply chain.
High-risk fourth-party vendors (e.g., those with a low score) may warrant further investigation or a conversation with your primary vendor.
You can also use the + New Fourth Party button to manually add a new fourth-party vendor for monitoring.
Initiating the Process
From the Fourth Parties dashboard, click on the + New Fourth Party button.
A search box will appear. Type the domain of the fourth-party vendor you want to add (e.g., "dsalta.com") into the search bar.
Selecting the Vendor:
DSALTA will search its database and provide a list of potential vendors associated with that domain.
Carefully review the list and select the correct vendor by clicking the checkbox next to their name. In this example, we've selected "Google Ad" with the domain "dsalta.com"
Once you've made your selection, click Next to confirm and add the vendor to your dashboard for monitoring.
